ALS Metallurgy contracted X2 Engineering to design, develop and commission the electrical and control system for both systems using both new and existing equipment. With a short timeframe and strict client requirements,
X2 Engineering designed and developed a system to drive the CCD Plant that consisted of 50 VSD’s and approximately 1000 IO Points. X2 Engineering staff were on site from early in the project to manage the electrical install and incrementally commission the system.
Siemens S7 PLC’s were used with WinCC to provide a simple operator interface, using Siemens system the engineering team were able to rapidly develop the plant system within the tight time frame.
Final testing was completed and the pilot run was started on time. X2 Engineering staff provided 24/7 on call support to ensure a successful campaign.
